Research Scientist- Pharmacology

Melior Discovery, Inc. is a small biopharmaceutical drug discovery and development company located in Exton, PA.  We are currently seeking a full-time entry-level pharmacologist/biologist who is highly motivated and capable of working in a collaborative team-oriented environment.  The job candidate should want to assume responsibility in small animal pharmacology studies, and the interpretation and communication of experimental results.  In addition, the job also entails the support of IND-enabling characterization of candidate drugs. The candidate will be expected to participate actively as a member of a fast-paced research team charged with the responsibility of testing compounds in in vivo models of disease, encompassing a variety of therapeutic areas including metabolic disease, inflammation, CNS and neurodegeneration.

 

Education            Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science preferred.       

Skills/Abilities                        Small animal handling techniques and manipulationsVarious drug administration methodologies Various pharmacological, physiological and biochemical analytical techniques Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate experimental results to  supervisors Ability to work independently and to rapidly adapt to changing priorities and new projects Experience with various computer programs including Word, Excel and graphing and statistical programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Conducting experimental pharmacological studiesCompiling and analyzing data from experimental studiesInterpreting experimental resultsCommunicating experimental data to superiors
