Research and Development Technician

Prodesse, Inc is biotechnology firm that develops, manufactures and distributes multiplex PCR reagents for the identification of infectious disease agents.  Prodesse also operates a CLIA lab to offer services to local hospitals using its in-house developed and validated assays.

 

Job Description/Summary: R&D Technician will be responsible for assisting in the development of Real-Time PCR-based molecular diagnostic assays in an ISO 13485 environment.  Will be a key player in the target design, formulation and optimization, performance validation and design documentation of assays.  Additional responsibilities include lab maintenence, equipment calibration/maintenence and verification of data.

Minimal Requirements: BS in biology, microbiology, molecular biology or related field plus 2 years of Real Time PCR experience.
