The SAP Finance Project Manager is responsible for end user support within the SAP environment, specifically with functionality in the Controlling (CO) module. Also re-sponsible for specification SAP application enhancements, and proactive identification of opportunities to use SAP functionality to better support business processes. The SAP Finance Project Manager will meet regularly and work in partnership with the business representatives to keep abreast of operational issues and initiatives with a po-tential SAP impact they will also be the liaison between the business and the IT func-tions (ERP team, Infrastructure and ITQM). The SAP Finance Project Manager will provide expert support to SAP users, and work to resolve application problems efficiently to minimize business disruption. This per-son will work closely with the ERP team and other IT functions to ensure proper im-plementation of the application, including ensuring that design documents are com-plete and accurate, testing is appropriate and complete, SOX requirements are adhered to, business process procedures are accurate from the technical perspective and all con-figuration and validation standards are adhered to.Key activities are: Partner with business and IT leadership to keep abreast of all issues that have a potential SAP impact Provide expert support to business end-users on use of SAP Controlling func-tionality within Sandoz US Provide analytical support and own resolution of operational SAP issues Ensure the SAP implementation is a continued success across the organization Manage external SAP consultancy resources as necessary Major Accountabilities:1) Perform SAP Systems support Provide expert support on SAP CO (Controlling) functionality Provide functional support for SAP FI (Finance) Assist users with system problems Assist users in understanding information needs Train personnel on system processes and usage2) Provide Analytical Support Facilitate user groups to determine root cause of issues Assess and document the impacts of proposed solutions Proactively identify system improvement opportunities Proactively monitor data quality within SAP Work with other IT functions (ERP/Infrastructure/ITQM) to deliver changes / improvement projects in line with business priorities3) Support all Computer System Validation processes Follow defined change control processes and procedures Develop validation documentation when requiredQualificationsEducation:BS/BA Degree in IT / Finance or related field. CPA certification is desired. SAP Academy certification is a plus.Experience:Minimum 4 years experience supporting SAP CO. Experience of supporting SAP CO in a multi-plant U.S. pharmaceutical company, including knowledge of rebate, chargeback and Medicaid processes.Specialized Skills and Knowledge:1. Business knowledge in the Finance FRA area2. Advanced SAP configuration experience in Controlling module (CO)3. Advanced SAP skills with Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) and Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA)4. Experience with support / configuration of SAP Finance (FI) module5. Experience in managing technical teams & resources6. BW report writing experience7. Experience with support / configuration of other SAP modules a plus8. Participated through full lifecycle of a significant SAP implementation 9. Experience with supporting systems in a SOX-compliant environment10. Project Management / Facilitation / presentation skills
