Degree / College Major: BSNumber of Years Work Experience Required: 5+The candidate should have programming experience with large insurance claims, health care survey, or marketing databases. He / she should be able to create data extracts, design and write original SAS programs, and work on multiple complex projects at the same time. Technically, the position requires an excellent command of the SAS programming language (minimum 3-5 years). SAS Certification is very desirable. Other useful technical skills include SQL (Structured Query Language) and experience with relational databases, such as Oracle. The candidate for this position must be able to work closely and communicate technically with Epidemiologists and Health Economists. For that reason, an educational background in Economics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, Outcomes Research, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, Mathematics, Biology, or Outcomes Research is extremely desirable. Previous work experience in fields such as Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Economics, Outcomes Research or Operations Research is very desirable. Persons with experience in Clinical or Market Research may be suitable, depending on their specific work and technical experience.
