SENIOR LABORATORY TECHNICIANUniversity of DelawareThe Chemical Engineering department is seeking applicants for an externally funded position working in the Delaware Biotechnology Institute. Perform a variety of technical duties in conducting or assisting in scientific experiments, involving proteomics and analysis of protein mixtures from microbes, human cell lines, and human tissues. Operate key pieces of analytical equipment which may include: microscopes, incubators, shakers, electrophoresis apparatus, scanners, chromatographs, and computers for image acquisition and image analysis.  Requires Associate's degree in a field of science with four years of experience in technical laboratory work.  With or without assistance, ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.  Dexterity in handling delicate and  hazardous materials and the ability to accurately discern colors and measure laboratory materials.
