Job Responsibilities:

- The Senior Quality Inspector inspects and reports on manufacturing quality.

- The incumbent may perform the inspection of incoming materials, packaging and labeling components, work-in-process and final products using more complex inspection gauging and may use coordinate measuring type machines.

- They have an understanding of basic Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing systems.

- Requires performing intricate First Article inspections on a wide variety of parts and may involve castings, molds and assemblies.

- They initiate rejection reports for non-conforming materials and ensure proper completion of required documentation in accordance with departmental, GMP, and ISO requirements.

 

Experience & education:

- Based on their thorough knowledge of the Quality Control process they publish and analyze Quality reports & write procedures taking appropriate actions when required.

- They interface with Technical Operations, Quality Assurance, Production, P&IC, Development personnel and may include suppliers solving quality issues, troubleshooting parts, and recommending courses of action.

- They may provide direction for other inspectors.

- Minimum of 5 years inspection experience. 

- High School graduate.
