IBA Molecular is actively seeking a Senior Radiochemists to join our staff in Totowa, NJ. This individual will be responsible for developing new products and applications based on F18 and other isotopes.  Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

 

Develop and optimize synthetic methods and procedures for manufacturing of PET radiotracers labeled with F18 using automated synthesis modules.  Develop, optimize and validate Quality Control methods and procedures necessary for validating PET radiotracers.  Draft and validate Standard Operating Procedures for use in production and quality control.  Assist with preparation of regulatory submissions such as DMF, IND’s and NDA’s.  Compile CMC sections of such applications.

 

Manufacture pilot batches of F18 labeled radiotracers and conduct stability and validation studies. Assist with implementation of tracer production in IBA manufacturing.  Assist sales and marketing in development of promotional materials.  Present developed products to customers and scientific community.  Provide training and support to sales force.

 

Assume overall responsibility for particular projects.  Perform contract research and development projects as required.  Prepare labeled products per contracting organization specification.  Compile and submit reports on development projects to management and contracting organizations.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory standards.

Supervise and provide guidance to a group of laboratory assistants, interns, trainees and post-doctoral fellows.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Advanced degree in organic or radiochemistry or related field, minimum 5 years of experience in independent research in the field of PET radiochemistry.
