SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Luna Innovations develops and manufactures new-generation products for the healthcare, telecommunications, energy and defense markets.  Our products are used to measure, monitor and improve critical processes in the markets we serve. Due to a recent contract award, Luna’s Secure Computing and Communications Group is seeking multiple experienced software engineers.  Candidates should have expertise in software application design, development, and testing, along with a working knowledge of digital design.  Preferred programming languages include C, C++, and Python.  Candidates with an MS or PhD in Computer Engineering or Computer Science are preferred; however, candidates with a BS in relevant fields with the requisite knowledge will also be considered.  Self motivation, good communications, and teamwork skills are a must.  The ideal candidate will be a fast-learning, motivated software engineer with a passion to positively impact our nation's defense against digital threats.

BS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science required, MS recommended.  Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required.

Due to government contracting regulations, U.S. Citizenship is a firm requirement.  All applicants must be willing and able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
