Due to continued growth, Luna Innovations is seeking a Systems Engineer to identify and pursue funding opportunities, initiate and develop creative solutions, and support existing sensing systems development activities.  Candidates must be able to promote collaboration with internal and external partners in the general area of health monitoring, diagnostics, and prognostic systems. This position requires strong proposal writing and presentation skills.  Relevant skills are a working knowledge of any of the following: artificial intelligence, process modeling, statistical methods, risk and reliability analysis, signal processing, and control theory.  Of particular interest are health monitoring, diagnostics, and prognostics of mechanical systems, chemical processes, and structures susceptible to damage from use and environmental conditions.  The capacity to work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team that is focused on transitioning new technology into commercial applications is a must.  To be considered for this position, candidates must be either a U.S Citizen or permanent resident.

 

MS or PhD in systems, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.  Candidates with relevant engineering applications experience and degrees in computer engineering, applied mathematics, or physics will be considered.
