Sales Development Manager, Western United States
CELLnTEC is a young Biotech start-up active in the innovative field of in vitro adult stem cell culture. We now seek an energetic sales professional to represent CELLnTEC in all sales and marketing efforts to identify new business opportunities, support existing distributor and contribute to overall profitable sales growth in the US.
Applicants must have a background in sales, be a self-motivated and able to independently identify and capture sales opportunities. Candidates with biological training and sales history, plus experience with the establishment and implementation of related marketing programs will be preferred.
Although still a small start-up, CELLnTEC has large potential. This position is the first in the next phase of our growth, where driving up our presence and sales is first priority. We seek a co-worker, not only an employee, who is attracted by the challenge of joining our small team in a key position, and playing an instrumental role in the future success and growth of our company.
Job Description:
Based in the west coast (San Diego, Los Angles, San Francisco) requiring 70% travel
Reports to the Director of Business Development
Overall responsibility –To represent CELLnTEC in all sales and marketing efforts in the defined region identifying new business opportunities, supporting existing distributor representatives and contributing to overall profitable sales growth.
75%: Identify, develop and capture custom business opportunities for CELLnTEC R&D and Therapeutic products in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries
Key areas of responsibility:
Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving business goals, especially managing personal time and productivity
Respond to and follow up sales inquiries using appropriate methods.
Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
Represent CELLnTEC in all business situations in the defined region
Develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills to increase effectiveness to meet and exceed goals

Employment – salary (exempt); full time (part time will be considered)
Qualifications:
4 years prior Life Science sales experience in region, preferably selling Tissue Culture products
Minimum of 4 year BS degree majoring in a Life Science
Self-driven, results-oriented individual able to independently manage territory
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both scientific professionals and laypeople
Effective computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Salary:
Available benefits include health, dental, 401K with company contribution
Salary and commission commensurate with the candidates qualifications
