The Molecular Biology Sales Representative position is responsible for direct sales of AB consumables/equipment for traditional and Real Time PCR applications in the Iowa/Nebraska territory.

 

RESPONSIBILITIESFocusing sales efforts on growing sales within the established customer base while generating revenue from new accounts.Defining opportunities for new sales of AB products within the territory as part of detailed account planning and sales forecasting.Developing and executing a business plan to meet annual fiscal sales goals. Establishing and building relationships with key decision makers and economic buyers. Working with product specialists and other local sales team to capitalize on product opportunities within the territory.Acting as a primary point of contact for the customer in the field and actively promoting new product developments in the territory. Providing product expertise with regard to market, AB applications and competition.

 

REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or equivalent experienceRequires at least 3-5 years of successful sales experience in the molecular research market including traditional and Real Time PCR consumables and instrumentation. Also, 2+ years experience as a technical user. Must have the skills to effectively develop knowledge of accounts and key customers in the territory and have the ability to interpret customer's needs and identify solutions.
