POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis is a field-based position where the Sales Representative works out of a home office selling a complete line of energy, endoscopic & mechanical products spending 80%-90% of their time working in their aligned hospitals. Sales Representatives are aligned to 9-15 designated accounts and have responsibility for achieving a multi-million dollar business plan. To maintain employment, each representative is required to successfully complete and pass our intense 8-week Sales training program. Once hired and trained, proficiency in Ethicon Endo Surgery's products and procedures is necessary to demonstrate our products to our customers in a hospital and operating room environment. The Ethicon Endo-Surgery Sales Representatives are responsible for the following: Sell in an operating room & hospital environment with accountability for sales vs. forecast achievement. Proper use of product & procedure knowledge to achieve clinical results and sales results. Focus on the customer: probe to understand customers underlying needs or issues and address with the appropriate products & services. Use sales mastery to overcome objections in a concise, professional, ethical and persuasive manner that leads the customer to action. Use persistent initiative to anticipate opportunities and obstacles and manage them appropriately. Business planning: set priorities and make sound business decisions based on understanding the big picture. Use past experience and data to improve performance. Analyze the market utilizing tools to track customer & market information, analyze results and conduct comprehensive assessment and competitive analysis. Provide customer education, in-service accounts and demonstrate proper use of all products/devices to surgeons, nurses, scrub tech and other hospital staff. Use teamwork with other EES internal and field base associates to impact customers' buying habits. Expertly represent EES by exhibiting proficiency in knowledge of EES products & procedures. Professionally negotiate with customers when they have a differing point of view. Build excellent customer relations with key surgeons, hospital personnel and hospital administrators. Making effective presentations at multiple management levels within a healthcare facility. To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: Bachelors Degree Three or more years of sales experience Experience selling to a highly educated/high profile customer base Willingness to travel up to 25% depending on geography A current method of effectively targeting accounts and achieving results through a daily action plan Experience in quality-based sales as opposed to price-based sales Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to access, manipulate and analyze information from the Internet / Intranet Ability to work independently from a home office location and sell in an operating room, lab & hospital environment Physical Requirements: Ability to complete office deskwork requiring sitting, walking, using phone & computer, variable time spent standing in operating room during procedures and light liftingPreferred assets include: MA/MBA degree Five or more years of Sales experience Experience selling medical device or capital equipment Documented sales performance placing you in the top 25% among peers Strong customer orientation as evidenced by documented customer feedback Apply Now
