OrthoNeutrogena division of Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, Inc. markets skin and hair care products recommended, used and prescribed by dermatologists. Neutrogena Corporation is currently recruiting for a Sanitech. This individual will comply with Neutrogena's policies, procedures, and quality standards as well as safety and environmental regulations. This individual will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing portable and storage equipment in accordance with Neutrogena MFOP's. The Sanitech will follow all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), environmental and safety regulations and maintain accurate records and documentation. This individual will manufacture and perform quality analysis on sanitization solutions. This individual will assist with cleaning and maintaining an orderly plant floor. This individual will maintain daily housekeeping in the area and report all defective equipment to maintenance. The Sanitech will also become an ancillary equipment owner and learn and understand the inner workings of the machinery by working with maintenance personnel. The Sanitech will report decisions, problems, and questions to Group Leader and/or Team Leader in a timely manner. This individual will assist with maintenance of the empty drum location, adhere to recycling regulations and correctly recycle materials, understand basic machinery, use a forklift to move equipment within the department, complete all training requirements and perform other duties as assigned by management. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or higher is required. A minimum of 1 year of manufacturing operations experience is required. A minimum of 1 year of standup forklift experience is also required. Experience with SAP is preferred. Experience in a regulatory environment is preferred. Experience cleaning and sanitizing industrial equipment and/or facilities is required. Experience cleaning and disinfecting large kettles and containers (4000 kilos or more) using chemicals and other cleaning compounds is required. This candidate will able to contribute to a productive and cooperative atmosphere, show commitment to team objectives, handle day-to-day work challenges and manage multiple tasks and competing demands. This candidate will be able to speak and write clearly and concisely, listen carefully and seek clarification. This candidate will work in an environment where the noise level is usually loud. This candidate will perform repetitive and non-repetitive work. While performing the duties of this job, this candidate will be required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time, use hands and fingers, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear. This candidate will frequently be required to reach with hands and arms, push and pull objects, and to move within and between the buildings. The candidate will occasionally be required to crouch or crawl and must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This candidate must be able to view objects closely and use a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data. This position is a 1st Shift position starting at 6:00AM until 2:00PM, may require mandatory overtime or weekend work and is located at Neutrogena in Los Angeles, CA.
