(J&JPRD) is recruiting for a Research Scientist to serve as a Biomarker Lab Specialist for the target area of Immunology. The position is located in La Jolla, CA. J & J PRD, La Jolla, develops treatments that improve the health and lifestyles of people worldwide. Research and development is focused on novel targets for immune mediated inflammatory disorders (IMID), but also includes pain, CNS and metabolic disorders. As the Research Scientist Biomarker Specialist - Immunology, you are responsible for:Supporting the development of clinical programs for new chemical entities encompassing study design, protocol development and incorporation of biomarker endpoints. Primary responsibility for biomarker sample logistics, tracking and data analysis. Interpret, report and prepare oral and written results of biomarker research in preparation for study docments. Support development of compound strategy including plans for biomarkers and other translational elements. Liase with relevant internal partners regarding biomarker targets and assay development. Develop credible relationships with academic/research centers and opinion leaders in relevant therapeutic area. Assess new biomarker opportunities to incorporate into strategic plans. Responsible for assessment, preparation of and use of novel biomarker assays. Assist Regulatory Affairs in the development of drug regulatory strategies. Review medical literature and related new technologies. Responsible for assessment of external clinical research proposals involving company products relevant to company's mission. The successful candidate will have a PhD with/or without a post doc or a Masters Degree and 9 years of clinical and or research experience. A minimum of 3 years of industry experience, including clinical research and clinical study experience, is preferred. Work within the therapeutic area of Immunology is preferred. Approximately 10% - 15% domestic and international travel will be required. Apply Now
