Job Description

Right now at Dyax our Biochemistry group is looking to expand their process optimization capabilities and build out new functionality and technology for the group. As part of this exciting initiative, we are looking for a talented, and bright industry experienced BS/MS level Scientist who possesses a broad background across R+D Cell Line Development as well as early-stage GLP Upstream Process Development.

Experience in media development/optimization is particularly desired. This candidate should have the intellectual prowess to design their own experiments, work in a fast-paced/collaborative environment, and want to explore new areas of protein biochemistry/process optimization.

Requirements The ideal candidate has a BS w/ 4-8+ years or MS Degree w/ 2-6+ years experience in development of manufacturing cell lines, ideally with recombinant antibody expressing cells. Practical knowledge of all aspects of cell line development, from transfection to fermentation in bioreactors, is required. Experience in Design of Experiment (DOE). Exposure to working under GLP- and/or GMP conditions, and previous experience with process automation, are a plus. Self-motivated, well organized, and teamwork-oriented candidate who will become an integral member of the antibody expression group at Dyax.
