The Scientist I-Analytical Services under direct supervision, receives specific and detailed instructions about required tasks and results expected. Work is usually well defined and is checked for progress and reviewed for accuracy upon completion. Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps and processes. Performs assignments to develop professional work knowledge and abilities. Performs a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff, methods, practices and programs of the company. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. May also receive formal classroom or seminar-type training. Responsible for wet chemistry, spectroscopic, and chromatographic analysis of stability samples. Operates in accordance with cGMP. Requires moderate use of application of basic to standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Responsible for ensuring the lab staff follows all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level. A BS in Science and 0-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required for this role. Experience in a GMP lab is preferred. A BS in Chemistry is preferred. Experience using HPLC and GC are preferred. Pharmaceutical or Medical-Device experience is preferred. Apply Now
