Description
A newly formed Drug Metabolism Team is focused on delivering high quality drug metabolism data to customers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and academic sectors, to enhance decision making in their drug discovery efforts. The Drug Metabolism Team is responsible for the design and execution of in vitro and in vivo assays characterizing the absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination (ADME) attributes of new chemical entities.


Requirements .
Primary Responsibilities:

Laboratory based position focused on execution of in vitro ADME/Tox studies, data analysis and data management to support customer needs.
Contribute to development and execution of SOPs for ADME assays to meet customer needs, with focus on scientific excellence and rapid throughput
Utilize automation and new technologies to enhance assay capabilities and quality
Work in team setting to execute studies and enhance product delivery in order to meet project timelines Qualifications:

Education:  BS/MS in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, Biology, or related discipline

Work Experience:

Minimum:  

BS with 4+ years in drug metabolism research
Strong technical background in developing and executing in vitro ADME screens using LC-MS/MS techniques
Working understanding of pharmacokinetic principles with ability to interpret in vitro and in vivo ADME/Tox data
Demonstrated experience using data analysis systems and databasesTeam player
Strong oral/written communication skills


Desired:  

MS with 5+ years in industrial DMPK research team
Strong technical background in use, trouble-shooting, and maintenance of LC-MS/MS, as well as bioanalytical sample preparation and method validation
Experience with laboratory automation, cell culture, PK data analysis, or metabolite identification is a plus
