The Sedation Systems Biomedical Customer Support Advocate will have multiple responsibilities including: Handling customer and field support calls pertaining to Sedation products & services - accessed through a toll-free line or through other appropriate communications such as faxes, e-mails, internal calls, & letters. Ensuring 24/7 support for customers who require immediate access to a healthcare professional to resolve product & product use issues for the Sedasys system. Apply core knowledge skill sets such as basic electronics, computer networking, and medical equipment experience and rapidly provide the appropriate course of action. Acting as a product specialist & Sedation team member must be comfortable working in a team driven, heavily partnered, matrix managed, and often ambiguous environment. Demonstrating superior customer support and maintaining knowledge of Sedation product and services within the Customer Support Center. Minimum of an Associates degree in Biomedical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering Technology is required. A bachelor's degree is an asset. A minimum of 3 years recent experience within a technical support environment supporting capital equipment is required. Medical device industry experience is preferred. Experience in 1 or more of the following areas are highly preferred: 1. Call Center 2. Infusion Pumps 3. Patient Monitoring 4. Anesthesia Units 5. Computer Networking 6. Technical Troubleshooting. The qualified candidate should possess keyboarding/typing skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential; the qualified candidate must be able to clearly and precisely articulate technical and non-technical information to individuals with different levels of knowledge.
