Our Research and Development team has significant experience in metabolic diseases and is focused on investigating the biological actions and utilities of bioactive peptides and other compounds as potential drug candidates. Currently, we have a great opportunity for a highly motivated, detail oriented professional to primarily focus on Amylin’s strategic alliance accounting including journal entry preparation, settlement with partners, account reconciliations, intercompany activity, and P&L and alliance reporting.

General Ledger:

• Prepare alliance accounting journal entries and various accruals in R&D
• Prepare monthly alliance accounting reconciliation and periodic true-up with partners
• Prepare other journal entries and related support as deemed necessary
• Review and approve other Finance team members’ journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare alliance accounting supporting documentation, reconciling between alliance agreements and US GAAPz++ Reporting
• Prepare monthly alliance financial reports
• Prepare Ad Hoc analysis

General:

• Provide documentation to internal and external auditors
• Special projects


Requirements
This position requires:

• A BA/BS in Accounting
• 4-5+ years of related experience (Pharmaceutical experience preferred)
• PC proficiency with MS Office
• Excellent analytical, organization, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
• Proven experience with monthly closing, journal entry preparation, and US GAAP
• Recent experience with JD Edwards, Oracle or other mid-tier integrated accounting package preferred.
• Cognos reporting tools experience is a plus.
• CPA desired.
