Senior Applications Developer Work Location: Addison, TXShifts: Not ApplicablePositions Available: 1Position Summary The Patient Services IT group services customers with development efforts on patient services enterprise systems. This includes architecting software systems to meet business objectives, writing technical specifications for end-to-end solutions to known requirements, coding in a variety of languages, and embedding quality control into the development cycle. The successful candidate must have the relevant experience and strong sense of ownership to contribute in developing the Information Technology department. Each group member will develop & support systems in a wide assortment of technologies, primarily Microsoft, (.Net Framework, XML Web Services, C++, VB, VB.Net, ASP.Net, Remoting, DTS, ETL, SQL,). Our primary projects involve the Specialty Pharmacy systems (3rd party and internal), E-Commerce, internet, the Baan ERP system, integration between systems, reporting off those databases (Data Warehousing and Crystal), and automating business tasks. A considerable amount of effort is devoted to developing the new the infrastructure for US Bioservices. The infrastructure will be comprised of a mixture of 3rd party vendor products and custom development, both meeting the business requirements and objectives of US Bioservices. Primary Duties and Responsibilities 1. MicroSoft, .Net Framework, XML Web Services, C++, VB, VB.Net, ASP.Net, Remoting, DTS, ETL, SQL, Java, and more2. Proven experience in .Net development3. Programming in a variety of languages on windows, Unix and AS400 platforms4. Integrate 3rd party vendor products5. Define and develop interfaces to support integration of 3rd party products6. Conduct analysis of 3rd party vendor products for use within Patient Services enterprise products7. Support test, development and production systems8. Define and develop SDLC standards and procedures9. Participate in RAD/JAD sessions10. Requirements, use case, and functional specification definition 11. Work with internal users, IT personnel, contractors and 3rd party vendors on assigned projects12. Create, maintain, and regularly communicate the project progress including:· Tasks· Task assignments· Timelines· Milestones· Dependencies· Outstanding issues13. Provide regular status reporting on assigned projects Experience and Education Requirements 1. Seven years experience developing and/or supporting full life cycle information systems.2. Seven years experience within one or more structured SDLC environments3. Three to five years healthcare industry experience desired. Specialty pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, infusion pharmacy experience a plus. 4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.5. Programming expertise in several of the supported technologies6. Self starter with strong sense of commitment to get-the-job done7. Demonstrable application of SDLC methodology 8. Skilled in use of Microsoft ProjectBachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
