Senior Applications Scientist/Customer Support Manager

 



Responsibilities: 

 

ü Pre- and post-sales customer support i.e. be a part of the sales and marketing team and assist current and potential customers with technical and scientific questions regarding BIOBASE databases, software and services  (on site, over the phone and via email)

 

ü Present BIOBASE’s scientific value proposition effectively and persuasively.

 

ü Explain and demonstrate  BIOBASE product features, functionalities, applications and benefits to target audience.

 

ü Handle customer related issues in a timely manner and ensure products and services are utilized effectively at customer site.

 

ü Provide on-site as well as remote training sessions for end-users at customer site.

 

Requirements:

 

ü Ph.D in a life-science discipline with strong bioinformatics, computational biology or biology background.

 

ü Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

ü Strong organizational skills with attention to details.

 

ü Outgoing personality, team player with a strong business acumen.

 

ü  IT background as well as knowledge of  BIOBASE products would be a plus.

 



This position is ideal for anyone with prior sales/customer support experience in the life sciences industry or scientists with practical experience, who wishes to apply their technical/scientific expertise outside of the lab in a customer-facing environment. This position requires travel to BIOBASE customer sites in the US.
