Job Description Senior Cost Accountant Responsible for establishing and maintaining accurate standard product costing.  Other accountabilities include variance analysis, month-end close, various other financial analyses and reporting.* Maintain accurate standard costing; including material costs, labor rates, and overhead rates. * Periodic standard cost roll-up. * Manufacturing variance analysis (e.g. PPV, MUV, Volume, Labor, Efficiency, etc.) and reporting. * Develop, maintain and monitor inventory cycle count program * Develop, maintain and monitor periodic physical inventory * Provide support to the Operations function. * Cost modeling / business cases. * Calculation of inventory reserves and pro-active inventory mgmt. support. * Journal entries * Preparation of month-end reporting package. * Budget and forecast preparation. * Develop and advance analytical tools * Assist in development and maintenance of control documentation, control matix, and management testing of cycles deemed in scope according to Sarbanes Oxley requirements. * Various ad-hoc analyses.Qualifications: Manufacturing background with in-depth knowledge of cost accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting for a manufacturing company.  BS Degree in Accounting, with a minimum of 5 years experience in cost and analysis; CPA or CMA a plus.   Other Attributes: * Strong leadership ability and persuasion skills. * High level of integrity and ethics. * Strong business acumen.  * Well-developed analytical skills. * Hands-on high-energy style. * Self-starter. * Results-oriented. * Effective and efficient verbal and written communication.
