Due to our extended growth, we currently have a need for the following position:Primary Role:? Responsible for the effective continuous support of manufacturing activities for the HGT manufacturing site and GMP warehouse.? Responsible for efficient and productive operations of the Facilities group assigned to the Plant.? Facilitates execution and ensures effectiveness of the Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Program for Production Plant and GMP Warehouse.? Responsible for the Plant facilities budget. Responsibilities:20% Responsible for optimizing resource allocation and prioritization of maintenance activities. 20% Ensures equipment availability is adequate to meet manufacturing requirements 20% Plans and coordinates major maintenance activities including scheduled Plant shutdowns10% Conducts scheduled performance reviews and assessments for direct reports10% Oversees DNA program for the site Facilities group 20% Responsible for evaluation of equipment performance. Initiates corrective actions for problems or deficiencies and initiates equipment redesign and alterations efforts. BS in engineering. Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and process systems employed in the manufacturing process. Good working knowledge of applicable regulations and codes. ? Extensive, progressive experience in Bio-pharmaceutical and/or related regulated industries in management/leadership role. Other Requirements:Should be able to climb a ladder, reach, bend, and lift loads up to 50 lbs. Valid Mass. Driver?s license. Travel between all Shire HGT sites is required. Incumbent will be required to carry a cellular phone / Blackberry device and to be on call to support Manufacturing operations.Apply to Shire
