Senior Financial Analyst - Sales Marketing - (Job Number: 0805738) DescriptionJohnson & Johnson Hemisferica, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst for Sales & Marketing, in our facility located in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The selected candidate will provide financial support and analysis to business partners to include: business planning, budgeting and forecasting, reconciliations, capital expenditures programs, consolidations and valuations. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate courses of action. Prepare business recommendations based on financial analysis. May represent function in meetings with other functional areas. Assist with the coordinating of monthly closings with respective managers within their functional areas to assure the fair presentation of operating results by monitoring expense commitments placed through the purchasing systems, analyzing expense trends and establishing expense accruals where appropriate. Prepare relevant account analysis in accordance with G/L responsibility. Maintain appropriate databases or other analyses to monitor, forecast and report on Headcount within the functional areas. May provide guidance to Associate Analysts, FLDPs, interns and coops. Assists in the analysis, registration and preparation of monthly accruals related to Advertising, Trade Promotion, Consumer Promotion, Gross to Net, Market Research and others that might arise. Perform account analysis and reconciliation of accrual and expense accounts controlled in this area. Guarantee that Country's and Caribbean A&P equalization is calculated and registered appropriately. Prepare and monitor monthly reports and dashboards such as Franchise DB, CSW DB, A&P DB, New Products DB, Sales by Brand, among others, compare vs. budget, analyze trends, provide recommendations and communicate to the organization the results on a monthly basis. Prepare, present and actively participate in monthly brand reviews presentations. Coordinate upload of Cognos Financial Cube and revise it monthly. Participates in the financial monthly closing cycle. Keeps him/herself on top of the monthly Profit and Loss report in order to alert management for red flags and recommend actions to improve results. Understands the cost going into the gross profit margin in each Franchise, analyze monthly results, compare it against budget and coordinate activities with Sales and Marketing Teams to contribute in its improvement. Analyze product costs and make recommendations to improve and maintain profitability targets. Supports the Finance and Marketing Team in the forecasting process and validate the financials arising from this process. Train business partners in financial variables to increase Caribbean Financial Health. Able to solve highly complex issues. Perform highly complex analyses, as required.Maintain Internal Customer Satisfaction. Maintain appropriate filing for audit documentation. Follow GAAP and internal Policies and Procedures, in order to comply with external & internal regulations. Promote and enforce a healthy SOX environment. Assist in special requirements as requested. Keep necessary information as confidential. Able to work with minimal supervision. Follows all company safety rules & procedures. Bachelors degree required (Accounting/Finance); CPA, CMA, MBA a plus. A minimum of four to six years of related business experience is required. Previous experience in a Sales & Marketing Financials Support Role is required. Strong PC skills, particularly in Excel, General Ledger and other computer applications. SAP knowledge will be preferred. Fully bilingual (English & Spanish). Candidate should possess excellent analytical, conceptual, communication and business partnering skills. Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
