Senior Formulation Assistant

Reporting to the Senior Scientist of a company focusing on Peptide Therapeutics. The formulation development will lead the identification of the dosage form, which will be used in studies for administration primarily via the oral or nasal route. Responsible for performing experimental studies in the pharmaceutical sciences related to the formulation development and testing of therapeutic peptides and proteins including monoclonal antibodies and fragments thereof.  Also, will require conductance of early phase pre-formulation and characterization of new molecular entities in collaboration with pre-clinical functions, dosage form development, and technology transfer into clinical and commercial manufacturing. Challenge is to rapidly adapt to a consistently changing environment.

 Background Required:
• Industry Lab/Research (5 years)
• Pre-formulation characterization and development (3 years)
• Liquid, lyophilized and powder for proteins/peptides
• cGMP
• Bioavailability studies (animal models/in vitro stability)
• Data Analysis, Summary and Interpretation
• Location:  Fairfield, NJ (Relocation Assistance) 
• Education: MS Chemistry or Related Science 

Background Preferred (but not required):
• Research Lab Facility Pharmaceutical /Cosmetic
• Education: PHD Chemistry (1 year Industry) or Related Science (5 years Industry)
