Lexicon Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of breakthrough treatments for human disease. Currently, our Princeton, New Jersey location is seeking candidates for the following position.

 

Senior Group Leader

Medicinal Chemistry Department

 

The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in drug discovery in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the neuroscience therapeutic area, and will possess the ability to lead a group of scientists within the Medicinal Chemistry department. Candidates must be able to effectively interact with scientists of all disciplines within Lexicon's project teams as well as collaborate with vendors and corporate partners. The qualified candidate must be able to effectively deal with complex scientific issues and should have excellent communication skills. Job Qualifications
PhD in Organic Chemistry (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 8 years postgraduate experience in drug discovery.
