Senior Instrument Development Scientist

Our client is an innovative in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) instrument company with a disruptive new platform technology that will revolutionize the point-of-care (POC) diagnostic industry. Their patented and ground-breaking biosensor technology has been proven effective and is now transitioning from the bench top into a manufacturable instrument.  The Senior Instrument Development Scientist will play a pivotal role in this process.

Using assays developed by other scientists, the Senior Instrument Development Scientist will ensure these assays will 'scale down' into the instrument. S/he will develop tests, diagnose problems, and troubleshoot solutions to ensure repeatable results.  S/he will have an assay development background and must have experience with diagnostic instruments in order to understand the many variables that must be controlled in order to produce a manufacturable instrument. 

Minimum MS, PhD preferred in life sciences, must have assay development experience.  Must have prior experience (3+ years) with an instrument company such as: Bayer, Siemens, Dako, Perkin-Elmer, Instrumentation Laboratory, Affymetrix, Beckman Coulter, Applied Biosystems, Bio-Rad, Caliper, ESA, Magellan, IQuum, MDS Sciex, Tecan, Zymark, others.
