Senior Management Associate

Responsibilities:This position will provide part-time administrative support to the Chairman/CEO and CFO offices. The incumbent will handle a variety of situations of a highly confidential, complex, and sometimes, sensitive nature. This individual will communicate with internal and external offices. Work includes opening the office, managing all supply and facility requests, backup the phone, and general office support. This position will address problems and develop practical, thorough and creative solutions without relying on precedent or supervisory review. The incumbent will exercise independent judgment and discretion with sensitive, confidential and proprietary information. This position will also partner with the workgroup to maximize the efficiency of the team. This position is part-time: 7am - 11am, Monday - Friday.  Requirements:The candidate must have a minimum of seven years of administrative support experience with at least three years’ supporting high-level executives. An Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience or training is required. Highly proficient in interpersonal communications, composition/grammatical skills and computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, email) is essential. This individual must enjoy working in an ever-changing office environment and be able to maintain composure and poise in sometimes-hectic situations. The candidate must be proactive, self-motivated, flexible and able to manage conflicting and changing priorities as well as perform in a team environment with minimal supervision. Excellent physical organization savvy is required. The applicant must be highly skilled in the entire spectrum of administrative duties. Knowledge of Genentech business, organization, guidelines, policies and systems is a plus.
