Senior Manager, Business Development

The Franklin Group, a division of inVentiv Health is a recognized leader in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, providing innovative, customized and compliant solutions in the areas of Patient Services, Reimbursement Case Management and Medicare Patient Services.

Responsible for expansion of Reimbursement Case Management business within The Franklin Group, an inVentiv Health company. Responsibilities include negotiation of contracts for new business, with a focus on reimbursement services, as well as continued expansion of existing business. Act as primary knowledge center related to reimbursement regulations and policies. Continually develop client relationships to increase penetration within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Life Sciences industry.

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for negotiation of contracts for new business as well as continued expansion of existing business for inVentiv Health, The Franklin Group. Continually develop client relationships to increase penetration within the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences industry. 

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

(Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following)

Qualifying potential business development opportunities to identify needs that could be supported by one of the organizations within the VPS division. 
Writing proposals for potential and existing customers to include pricing.
Participating with VPS division leaders in business forecasting
Performing cost benefit analysis
Examining program ROI for Franklin and for customers, ensuring that all proposals are profitable
Evaluating, reviewing and proposing services for Pharmaceutical and Life Science companies
Initiating the development of new business for The Franklin Group via presentations outlining the capabilities of The Franklin Group and inVentiv Health
Being responsible for all negotiations from initial client contact through client contract closing
Functioning as a liaison between Client and inVentiv Health troubleshooting any contract issues
Providing critical analysis to Clients regarding all aspects of outsourcing agreement
Continually monitoring and building on client relationship to further the scope of inVentiv Health’s market penetration
Working with sister companies to provide integrated solutions to clients where applicable
Performing other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications
Education Required: BA/BS  Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in managed care or pharmaceutical.  Strong, current knowledge of pricing and US health care reimbursement trends in both public and private reimbursement systems.  Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. healthcare related to the pharmaceutical, biotech and/or life science industry. Excellent communication skills; i.e., listening, talking and writing

Skills
Must be able to work efficiently in demanding, fast-paced, high-growth environment.  Demonstrated sales success Excellent presentation skills In-depth understanding of public and private reimbursement environment
Strong organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Thorough understanding of business processes and information systems •Self-motivated and willing to work with minimal direction.

Preferred:
MBA;  Must be able to work efficiently in demanding, fast-paced, high-growth environment.
