Senior Manager, Project Management

Primary Objective of Position:

Manages staff and/or two major development programs.

Responsibilities:

 Specifically identify and track critical path issues and activities, enlist key people to resolve these obstacles in order to expedite drug development process through all phases.Prepare development scenario plans to support decision-making and budgeting process. Develop, in conjunction with project team, yearly strategic program and development plans and annual budgets.Identify resource needs (FTE and $) throughout the year.Track expenditure vs. budget as it relates to project timelines on a quarterly basis.Prepare monthly, quarterly and other ad hoc status reports for Senior Management and presentations/reports for the Development Steering Committee.Support overall team function and team leaders in their strategic function.Maintain primary responsibility for project team meetings, including scheduling, preparation of agendas and minutes, and action items.Follow up on issues, actions and risks to program and seek to identify contingency and mitigation plans.Coordinate subteam activities as required and act as the central core of project team information.Prepare and maintain overall project timeline and provide appropriate benchmarking and risk management information.

 

Requirements:

 BS Life Sciences, MBA or Post Graduate Level Science Degree.5+ years direct PM experience in pharmaceutical industry.5+ years pharmaceutical/biotechnology development areaBroad experience in project management across all phases of global pharmaceutical drug development.Experience managing cross-functional project teams globally.Experience managing multiple project simultaneously.- Direct management of at least one complex, multi-indication program.Training responsibility for junior level project manager.Experience in high visibility position with direct input into corporate strategic planning and portfolio planning processes.
