The San Diego site lead and world-wide team participant will support enterprise-wide network and systems infrastructure in a mixed platform environment. This position will require the candidate to work on local and global network and system initiatives in both project lead and participant roles. The ideal candidate will have experience with the following technologies and vendors: Stonesoft Stonegate firewalls, Foundry enterprise class switches, Juniper and Nortel VPN appliances, complex routing topologies utilizing multiple balanced circuits, WAN Accelerators, open source and commercial monitoring tools, among others. The successful candidate will participate in a small global team that maintains a multi-city, multi-country network of 24x7 operations. The ability to work autonomously as well as in dynamic groups to meet and deliver project goals is a must. The ability to write and interpret technical documentation is strongly desired. Past experience in an FDA regulated environment a plus. Some travel will be required (5%). Minimal Requirements: - A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience. - Ability to establish effective collaborative working relationships with multiple support groups across the company. - Research and / or Pharmaceutical experience a plus. - Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, and/or relevant certifications and experience.
