Senior Programmer Analyst

Promega Corporation, an international biotechnology company headquartered in Madison, WI, seeks an experienced Programmer Analyst to join our business software development team.  In addition to development this person will be responsible for providing technical support and administration for business applications.  

Responsibilities include:
• Partner with business areas and other developers to define, design, and develop system functionality

• Lead/co-lead small-to-medium sized implementations of business software applications

• Install, configure, customize and maintain a diverse range of business software and packaged applications

• Resolve coding and data issues in a timely fashion

• Ability to assist users with 2nd-level technical support issues

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent/progressive .NET development experience (preferably C#.net)

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience with Microsoft Information Worker technologies such as:  Sharepoint, Infopath, Windows Workflow Foundation and Office Integration

• Prior experience with FoxPro or Visual Basic 6.x or higher helpful.

• Some experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 with a functional knowledge of relational database technology

• SQL Reporting Services and/or Crystal Reports

• A great thirst for broad technical knowledge and a strong willingness and desire to learn new technologies

• A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
