Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

Peforms a wide range of duties to ensure that the Hospital Laboratories are in compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accrediting agency standards, and UMass Memorial Medical Center's standard operating procedures pertaining to the laboratories.

Beachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.  Masters degree preferred.  Minimum 5 years experience in clinical laboratories with knowledge of regualroty standards such as CLLIA, CAP, ASBB, FACT, DPH, Joint Commission and quality system management.  Ability to apply computer applications, including MS Office, Meditech, SQL, and crystal reports preferred.  Strong interpersonal and communication, written and verbal skills is essential.
