Provide support for Product Disposition (non-conforming material) - preliminary and final.Requires close interface with Manufacturing Engineers and QC. Quality Problem Investigation, correction, communicating with internal and external customers. Devise new approaches to problems encountered, which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. Handling supplier corrective actions issued by customers. Analyze reports and returned products, perform investigation and recommend corrective action. Project management for Short & Long Term projects (System and process improvements) including communications with customers for approvals. Monthly data analysis and presentation of quality data to review board using statistical tools. Complete actions tasked by the review board. Approve process/equipment/test method/software validation protocols and reports for process improvements and maintenance. Prepare documentation for inspection/testing procedures, sampling plans. Complaint Handling and Investigation. Communicate results of the investigation with customers. Independently perform most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected. Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance. Support internal and external audits. Practice company safety, quality policies and procedures, actively requires conformance. Other tasks and projects as required. BS in a related engineering discipline; and 5 ' 9 years of related experience and/or training; or MS in a related engineering discipline and 3 ' 7 years of related experience and/or training; or Ph.D. in a related engineering discipline and 0 ' 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in the medical device industry would be an asset. CQE or ASQ certified or suitable Black Belt/PE exposure is an asset. Solid presentation, interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal are required. Must possess thorough understanding of engineering theoretical fundamentals and experimental techniques.
