Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist

Repligen Corporation is a profitable biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel therapeutics for diseases that affect the central nervous system.  A number of drug development programs are currently being conducted to evaluate our drug candidates in diseases such as bipolar disorder and neurodegeneration.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist to work in our Analytical Group within Research and Development. The successful candidate will assist in advancing pre-clinical and clinical drug candidates.

Duties and responsibilities

This position requires a scientist with experience in preclinical drug development including analytical methods applied to characterization of compound and compound formulations. 

Technical understanding of analytical methods such as HPLC, NMR, and Mass Spectrometry as well as methods to evaluate compound solubility, purity, and stability would be necessary. 

A general knowledge of organic synthesis, formulation, and pharmaceutical properties of compositions would be helpful.  The person would work in a small development team to integrate development technologies.

Qualifications/RequirementsBS/MS in chemistry or PhD in chemistry or biochemistry At least two years of industry experience working on drug development programs Prior experience designing and interpreting experiments including writing reports and giving presentation of the work
