Process Research

ERI is searching for a highly motivated and accomplished synthetic organic chemist to join our Process Research team in one of the following roles: 

 

Research Investigator

As a Research Investigator, you will independently contribute to the conception and design of new synthetic routes for compounds, utilize literature searches to solve significant project problems, evaluate and prioritize research efforts within broader project objectives, and identify and introduce new experimental techniques as required.  Candidates must be excellent team players with the ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment, have a proven ability to perform multi-step organic syntheses, and possess outstanding oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively across disciplines.  A Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry is required, and postdoctoral or related industrial experience is a plus.

 

Senior Research Chemist

As a Senior Research Chemist, you will independently execute the syntheses of target compounds and extend existing routes, utilize literature searches to solve specific research problems, contribute new ideas to project teams, and apply knowledge of chemical processes to understand failed reactions and propose modifications. Candidates must be excellent team players with the ability to work with minimal supervision in an interdisciplinary environment, have a proven ability to perform multi-step organic syntheses, simultaneously balance multiple tasks in support of team objectives, and possess outstanding oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively within the project team.  A M.S. in Organic Chemistry is required, and related industrial experience is a plus.
