Senior Sales Analyst - Pharmaceutical

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:Support the Associate Director, Brand Sales and Managed Markets Analytics in implementing and maintaining a sales analysis “Center of Excellence” capable of supporting the U.S. Commercial Operations in achieving double digit brand growth by maximizing the return on investment for the U.S. Commercial Sales Organization To partner with the Executive Business Directors, Directors of Strategic Accounts – Neurology and Area Business Directors in tracking and analyzing key sales performance indicators on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. To maintain a timely, actionable and highly accurate analytical framework at the sales territory, region and brand level. To create and manage impactful sales management dashboards for all levels of sales management. To partner with peer group on level setting sales analytics across the U.S. Commercial Operations landscape.KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES· Responsible for tracking, analysis, and monthly reporting of key customer performance data, including key projects.· Design, develop, and implement key reporting deliverables aimed at measuring progress against critical KPIs. Collaborate with the Reporting team to transition the production of these deliverables as appropriate. · Develop standard analytics deliverables for the Neurology Sales team. Produce these deliverables on a scheduled basis and incorporate changes/enhancements as needed.· Provide analytical support to EBDs and VP Neurology, including ad hoc requests, reporting and analysis for presentations, etc.· Serve as Neurology liaison with data management group and IMS; recommend and implement steps to catch data integrity issues; assist in solving data issues· Work with EBDs and Controller in the creation and maintenance of Sales Quotas; communicate same to interested parties (field personnel, Reporting & Compensation Analyst)· Manage quarterly ‘Prescriber Move’ adjustment process with field, communicating necessary adjustments to Compensation Analyst.· Reconcile incentive payouts with Compensation Analyst in a timely manner, ensuring on-time payouts.· Provide support to the Quarterly Business Review process – create appropriate templates, provide data set to each ABD and EBD. Coach ABDs on data interpretation and actively participate in QBRs.· Effectively communicate to all interested parties news and events affecting sales data and, or it’s delivery, · Responsible for interpretation and presentation of market factors impacting sales to Neurology personnel.· Provide sales force training as needed on data, analysis, etc.· Generate key analysis for annual business plan.· Provide support and input to KARMA development/ improvements.· Perform ad-hoc project-based analysis (i.e. Loyalist List, etc.)· Provide periodic reporting/ analysis by sales region.· Provide Area/ territory level sales reporting to assist with sales force targeting.· Assist with setting of targets for key sales programs (i.e. New product launches, Marketing Programs, etc.)· Create target lists for key programs · Generate NE balanced scorecard vs. actual reporting on key sales force KPIs· Provide input into sales incentive programs· Assist with reporting on field sampling program.· Obtain technical expertise in new software for field (i.e. Siebel, etc.) to ensure efficiencies in data reporting and analysis to both sales & marketing· Stay current with in-depth knowledge and understanding of IMS data and recent changes· Provide data for ad-hoc requests, as necessary.EDUCATION & LANGUAGES§ University/College degree – Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration§ MBA preferred PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE§ 4-5 years experience in managing a complex analytical environment§ 7+ years in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries§ Advanced financial and business modeling skills§ Proficient understanding of Managed Markets and its role in commercial revenue generation§ Proven experience in managing external vendors in support of company initiatives§ Advanced computer skills – excellent knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Siebel
