Senior Sales & Managed Care Analyst

As a member of Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ Commercial Analytics Department, you will provide reporting and analytical support for commercial product in the SSRI/SNRI marketplace to Health Systems, Field Sales, Marketing, Senior Management, and others. You will split time (roughly 50/50) with Managed Care and Sales Analytics. You will also design and implement reports in support of Health Systems and Sales Management, provide analytical support to Senior Management, respond to ad-hoc inquiries, and manage external relationships with data vendors, as needed to execute projects and resolve issues.  The Senior Sales & Managed Care Analyst will: Ensure the quality control of data provided to and received from external vendors. Perform analysis and interpretation of syndicated prescriber and plan prescriber data. Design and implement a set of standard sales reports to monitor sales performance and incentive compensation Design and implement a set of standard sales reports to monitor the managed care environment for commercial products Serve as primary contact for field sales management and field-based managed care team for all data and analytical needs. Produce on a weekly or monthly basis (as appropriate) routine sales performance reports for Sales Management. Provide data and analytical support to development of regional business and managed care plans. Reconcile field issues for prescriber and sales data. Monitor both internal and vendor compliance to monthly and weekly sales reporting schedules. Serve as an interface with Information Technology in weekly and monthly processing related to the CRM system and analytical toolset. Provide ad hoc expert level training and assistance to appropriate department staff members in use of analytical tools and data sources. Respond to ad hoc analysis requests. Present analytical findings as needed. Proactively identify and execute analytical studies for key customers.

Essential Requirements: BA degree, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration or Finance or a technical liberal arts discipline, such as Mathematics or Science or equivalent experience required with at least 3 years related analytical experience required in the pharmaceutical industry.  Experience with syndicated pharmaceutical data, including Wolters Kluwer, IMS and Verispan.  Experience with conducting managed care analytics with Dynamic Claims Analyzer (DCA) and formulary tracking tools. Prior experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools.  Strong quantitative analytical skills. Proven ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute analytical projects in a timely manner, and to anticipate problems and roadblocks.  Proven ability to use time effectively and prioritize, as well as, manage multiple projects with time sensitive deadlines.  Intermediate to advanced level skills required in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Access.  Attention to detail.
