Senior Scientist Analytical Chemistry (Raw Materials)

Our client company is an exciting biotechnology company developing therapeutics for pulmonary and respiratory diseases.  Assume a broad role in analytical method development, validation, analytical testing & laboratory work as a key member of the analytical & technical services team. Use your extensive background / experience to provide scientific leadership to others. Contributions: QC testing of raw materials, APIs, and released drug products, for product release and stability. HPLC, GC, physical and compendia testing. Perform method development and validation studies. Analytical method technology transfer. Testing of APIs, raw materials, and drug products. Data review and report compilation.  Ensure testing conforms to SOP requirements. Experimental design and investigational studies. Outline and/or perform laboratory equipment qualification, calibration and preventative maintenance programs. Maintain and develop scientific awareness and identify actual and potential opportunities for the company. Participate on Project Teams and ensure that scientific input meets the project's current and future requirements. Develop professional skills / knowledge to train junior staff & assist with troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations and cGMP requirements.Capabilities: · MS or PhD Chemistry or other related scientific degree.· 3- 10 years experience working in a pharmaceutical R&D laboratory or Quality Control lab setting.· Solid track record performing progressively more responsible lab work in validation and method transfer. Can apply & oversee advanced analytical practices. Able to work effectively in a team setting and provide scientific leadership to others. Advanced computer, math,  algebra,  statistical, and experimental design skills.
