Senior Scientist, Cell Biology

Seeking a Senior Scientist in Cell Biology to join a multidisciplinary team to develop novel anti-inflammatory drugs and study their mechanisms of action. Activities will include: performing in vitro assays with primary cells (e.g. neurons, microglia, immune cells), and established cell lines to characterize cellular proliferation, toxicity, activation, and biomarker production; biochemical assays for quantification of protein activity; quantitation of cytokines and other inflammatory biomarkers in tissues derived from animal experiments. Experience in molecular biological methods and flow cytometry is preferred. The candidate must have experience in supervising others, working in a team environment, and a willingness to discover and develop new experimental techniques. Good oral and written communication skills are necessary.

 

Requirements are a Ph.D. in Cell Biology or a similar discipline with 4+ years experience. Industry experience is a plus.
