Senior Scientist - (Job Number: 0805966) DescriptionThe Johnson & Johnson Consumer and Personal Products Worldwide is recruiting for a Senior Scientist to work at the Methods & Models Development R&D department in located in Skillman, NJ. The focus of the assignment is the development of vibrational spectroscopy methods and systems for biological tissue applications. Possible spectroscopy modalities include FTIR and Raman techniques. The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with researchers from other departments in projects involving basic understanding and product development for skin care and oral care. The candidate will be responsible for conducting the research, prepare research protocols and reports, collect data and perform data analysis. A minimum of Bachelors degree and 5+ years in the consumer industry, a Master's with 3+ years of consumer industry experience or a PhD with post-doctoral experience in a relevant field is required. A degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required. Experience with FTIR and Raman spectroscopy as well as biological tissues is required. Solid understanding of chemometrics is required. Experience with in vivo measurements is preferred. 5-10% travel is required.
