Senior Scientist - Molecular Biology / Drug Transport

Qualyst, Inc. is a biotechnology company dedicated to the development of novel ADMET (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity) technologies specifically related to drug transport. We have an opening for an individual interested in applying molecular biology techniques to develop new products in the field of drug transporters. This individual will be responsible for knocking down expression of key drug transporters in primary hepatocytes through the use of siRNA. In addition this individual will be or will become proficient in drug transporter assays and will provide general laboratory support at our facilities in Raleigh, NC.



Qualifications: M.S. (2 - 5 years experience) or Ph.D. (0 – 2 years experience) in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline. Knowledge of and experience in molecular biology specifically related to siRNA. Knowledge and experience in primary cell culture is required. Background in hepatic drug transport is desirable but not required. Must be able to multi-task and work independently. Strong organizational, record-keeping, data analysis and computer skills are required.
