Talecris Biotherapeutics has the following opportunity at our Melville, NY facility: Senior Supervisor of ManufacturingJob ID #1178 This position will provide leadership and direction for team leaders and technicians in the aseptic filling and finishing of sterile parenteral products for customers.  Will coordinate the process of technology transfer for the organization with each customer; ensure compliance with all cGMP requirements, including batch record review, and ensure proper training of all personnel.  Other duties will include hiring to maintain appropriate staffing levels; developing SOP’s and specifications as required; and maintaining fiscal responsibility to ensure department spending is within budget.  Candidate must be able to provide leadership to ensure a safe work environment and will be expected to participate in company-wide safety teams, utilizing safety metrics and goals for improvement.Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or related field with a minimum 10 years biotechnology/pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.  Experience with aseptic fill and finish, Class 100 environments, and sterilization processes preferred.  Must also have familiarity with cGMPs and validation requirements.
