More information about Dow can be found at www.dow.com The Dow Chemical Company has an exciting opportunity for a new Ph.D. graduate for our open Developmental/Reproductive Toxicologist role, located in Midland, Michigan.Dow’s Toxicology & Environmental Research and Consulting function (TERC) is a department within Global EH&S, committed to conducting research to establish safety of Dow products for humans and the environment. TERC is comprised of three key areas: Testing; Research; and Consulting. The Developmental/Reproductive Toxicologist position is laboratory based, with the successful candidate serving as Study Director and/or Lead Scientist for regulatory guideline studies (e.g., prenatal developmental toxicity, one- and two-generation reproductive toxicity studies), endocrine screening studies, as well as investigational research studies to support mode of action-based risk assessments. The position will involve close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and technical staff possessing expertise in areas such as pathology, analytical chemistry, pharmacokinetics, in vitro toxicology and molecular toxicology. Publication of results in peer-reviewed journals, as well as interaction with regulatory, academic and government scientists and internal business clients, are other key components of the position. The Dow Chemical Company’s Toxicology & Environmental Research and Consulting laboratory continues a legacy as a leader in industrial toxicology which began over 70 years ago. In addition, you will join a team of internationally recognized scientists in developing new products and processes that will drive future sustainability of our industry. This is an entry level Ph.D. position.Prior research experience in developmental or reproductive toxicology, reproductive physiology, reproductive endocrinology or a related field is strongly preferred.Post-doctoral experience and Certification by the American Board of Toxicology is desirable, but not required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
