Position Description:

The purpose of this position is to collect, segregate, store, prepare for shipment and dispose of various types of trash, recyclable, medical and hazardous wastes from all areas throughout the facility.This position is also responsible for ensuring that all waste is disposed of properly within time limits to avoid substantial fines. The Technician will also ensure that chemical compatibility storage is followed according to Niosh and facility guidelines.This is a 2nd shift position. Must also be available from on weekends and holidays from time-to-time.We are an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V

Qualifications:

High School Diploma required with experience driving a small stake body dump truck, use of waste handling equipment (Balers, compactors, etc.)Required certification on fork lift operation and handling/shipping hazardous waste.Two to four years experience in an industrial or office structure while working independently on all tasks. An excellent experience record will be considered in lieu of education requirementsRequired: knowledge/experience working with hazardous waste.Demonstrated ability to complete all requested work within the required compliance and procedural guidelines.
