Software Engineer-Java Applications

Cell Signaling Technology, Inc. (CST) is a worldwide leader in the development and commercialization of phospho-specific antibodies and assays for pathway analysis, as well as novel discovery technologies such as PhosphoScan®.  We are committed to developing innovative new research tools such as these to help define the mechanisms underlying cell function and disease, thereby broadly accelerating progress in biomedical research and medicine.

We are seeking an experienced software engineer capable of taking on a range of responsibilities within our Business Systems Group:
0.  Design user-interfaces, business-logic, and domain-information models to support current and anticipated business requirements.
0.  Develop and extend Java/JSP applications supporting internal business operations.
0.  Extend customer-facing Java/JSP ECOMMERCE applications.
0.  Extend our in-house Swing/Oracle application supporting a range of internal product-development, production, and assay groups.
0.  Provide production support to internal end-users; troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise in all of our business applications.
0.  Contribute to continuous improvement, and to the daily application of best practices in our Information Systems group.
 
This position demands a wide range of skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.  Good software-engineering practices, core java and JSP, and SQL are required; in addition, the position requires some exposure to, and a willingness to develop expertise in:
0.  Swing
0.  Struts
0.  Hibernate
0.  Spring
0.  Oracle (SQL-92, PL/SQL)
0.  MS SQL-Server (SQL-92, Transact-SQL, DTS)
 
The ideal candidate will also have excellent time-management, organizational and team-participation skills.
