Job Description

 

The Software Test Engineer will design and execute black-box and white-box tests for functional, integration, system and regression level testing of enterprise software applications.  He/she will analyze the software requirements and specifications to generate scripts that test software accuracy, performance and reliability.  He/she will work closely with the software engineers, participating in software requirement and design reviews, assisting with software builds and deployment to the test environment, and conducting regression testing on fixed defects and tracking all defect reports to closure.  The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background with some exposure to testing automation and is comfortable in a highly regulated software environment where documentation and quality control are keys to success.  He/she will prepare for and participate in formal internal and external audits of our Quality Management System.

 

Requirements

 

· Track record showing command of functional, system and regression level testing

· Experience testing object-oriented applications developed in C++, C# and/or Java.

· Understanding of SQL databases and basic query development.

· Experience with defect tracking and test automation tools (experience with TestTrack suite a plus)

· Strong appreciation for quality control: version control, unit testing, static code analysis, continuous integration, etc.

· Previous experience with quality management standards a plus (ISO 9001, 21 CFR 820)

· Knowledge of Agile methodologies

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with significant related experience

· Team Player with good sense of humor
