Our direct client is seeking a Software Tester for performance testing of a Data Warehouse Migration.  Will write test cases and execute tests to support the migration of a data warehouse from Teradata to an Oracle 10g environment.  Includes performance testing the data warehouse using SQL queries and Hummingbird BI Reports.  Must have solid Oracle SQL skills.  Requires detailed analysis of report data for comparison testing.

 

Must have the ability to write test cases (these test cases must be usable by other testers, they need to be clearly written and detailed, with clearly defined tests and test steps).  Need to provide adequate testing coverage of changed functionality.  Need to be able to write test cases based on use cases or other requirements.  Will execute tests for report format and accuracy.  Must have in depth Oracle SQL query writing skills.  Must know how to write SQL syntax, including Selects and Joins. 

Required:

·  5+ years of experience as a tester in software development environments, including reports testing using a reporting tool such as Hummingbird BI Reports, Crystal Reports, etc.

·  Oracle 10g

·  SQL

·  Experience writing SQL syntax, including Selects and Joins

Plus:

·  Hummingbird BI Query tool experience

·  Knowledge of Data Warehousing

·  Familiarity with the IBM Rational Suite of products, especially ClearQuest, ClearCase and RequisitePro

·  Basic PL/SQL programming skills
