Business Analysts within this team must possess thorough knowledge of the processes within their area of specialization as well as a comprehensive understanding of the configuration associated with the specific SAP components that are used to enable these processes.The Specialist, IS Business System Analyst will be primarily responsible for providing business and application support of the production environment. The analysts will interact with members of the Client-Facing IS teams as well as with our Super Users and Business Partners. The analysts will also work directly with members of the COE’s Technical and Infrastructure team to assist with the resolution of technical incidents as well as the implementation of new functionality.The Business Systems Analyst will serve as a liaison between our Business Partners and the COE in the development of new application functionality. In this role, the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for performing the analysis and design associated with new requirements. The Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with the Development organization to create functional and technical specifications and complete the necessary testing and documentation associated with these changes. The analyst will also work closely with the Computer System Validation group to ensure that all enhancements are implemented in a quality manner.Specialist IS Business Systems Analyst – Order to Cash, Sales & Distribution / Global Trade System (SD & GTS)Required:-4-6 years experience performing systems analysis, design and translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. -4 years experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications (SAP). -3 years experience in performing SAP configuration within the Sales & Distribution (SD) module, including experience with Sales Order Processing, Pricing, Billing, Accounts Receivables, Credit Management, Returns, and maintenance of Master Data, including Sales & Customer. The successful candidate will also possess a thorough understanding of the business processes enabled by these SAP components. -Limited travel (5-10%) both within and outside the US is expected. -Some after hours, on-call support will be necessary to resolve critical business & technical incidents.Preferred:- Experience with the use of the Auto Bank application, for the automated application of cash is highly preferred- Experience with Logistics Execution, Batch Management, Warehouse / Inventory Management (WM/IM), and Stock Transport- 6-8 years of applied experience developing, implementing &/or supporting business Information Systems-2 years experience in performing SAP configuration within the Financial (FI) module- Experience with Foreign Trade, including SAP’s Global Trade System (GTS)- 2 year experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technologies and techniques in SAP applications for the X.12 and/or EDIFACT standards- Participation in 1 full ERP Implementation- Experience with configuration of Xpress Carrier Interface- Basic knowledge of SAP’s ABAP programming language- SAP Certification in modules within area of specialization-Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or the Life Sciences. - 1 year experience with SAP Solution Manager, EMC Documentum, Change Management system, or a document storage databases - 1 year experience operating within a validated systems environment- 1 year experience working in a regulated industry (Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry preferred)- Experience with providing Production Support and general knowledge of ITIL-based, Service Management processes.- Experience in working effectively within team environments - Strong Project Management skills- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 10% Amgen is the leading human therapeutics company in the biotechnology industry.
