Specimen Processor (Nights)

Seeking a Specimen Processing Coordinator to assist the Department Supervisor and coordinate the processing of all submittals and specimens for testing in a timely and accurate manner. Accurate data entry skills a must.HOURS: Third Shift - 11:00pm - 7:30am. Schedule includes rotating Saturdays.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ?Direct supervision of processors?Assist supervisor in scheduling of specimen processing staff by delegating duties to ensure all tasks are completed on a consistent and accurate basis?Assist supervisor in performance review?Knowledge of personnel to contact to obtain information or clarification regarding specimens submitted and tests requested?Ability to perform all functions of specimen procession, data entry and send out?Knowledge of test and specimen requirements?Aid in training new employees?Able to assume full responsibility in supervisor?s absence?Set an example for other employees to follow?Ensure departmental and company policy is adhered to?Help maintain a clear and safe work environment?Maintenance of equipment?Responsible for reading, understanding and following all applicable SOPs?Adhere to Accident and Illness Prevention Program?Any other duties as assigned by supervisorRequirements: EDUCATION:High school diploma preferredEXPERIENCE: Some lab experience is requiredGood oral and written skillsData entry skills are important
